About me

Hello! My name is Igor Ovchinnikov. You can read my official biography here. My entire life has been built on the intersection of two very different worlds — the world of art and the world of modern technology.

Since 2022, I have been living in Israel. My expertise in multi-camera filming and live streaming has become highly sought after here.

I have been filming theater productions since the late 1980s. Without false modesty, I can say that thanks to me, video recordings of many Russian theater masterpieces were created and preserved. In 2004, together with a group of like-minded colleagues, we organized the world’s first theater streaming festival, "Theatrical Web" [link in Russian]. The festival ran for many years. We broadcasted not only from Russia; in 2008, we streamed the play "Yakish and Poopche" live from the Gesher Theater in Tel Aviv.

The practice of broadcasting theater performances online turned out to be so in demand that we created the project "Kultu.Ru!" [link in Russian], which specialized in filming and broadcasting.

We moved beyond theater. Our portfolio included some of the most exotic broadcasts, from the World Programming Championship to private open-air parties.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, almost the entire theater life of Russia passed through my hands and online channels. I was involved in creating online performances, hosting online conferences, and much more. Together with the Union of Theater Workers, we organized the first offline residency for theater employees from all over Russia who work with video.

Shortly before I left Russia, my colleagues and I started a project to teach filming and broadcasting theater performances in Russia’s regions, "TheatroVision" [link in Russian]. I was partially involved in this project.

In conclusion: I am a versatile systems integrator in the field of filming and broadcasting with extensive experience. I can produce, organize, set up equipment, direct, operate cameras, work as a sound engineer, and stream in any quality on any platform. I pay great attention to the artistic component, and I know how to create scripts to make even the most complex formats engaging for viewers.

Since moving to Israel, I have built excellent connections with top professionals living here, forming teams for projects of any complexity. I have developed friendly relationships with equipment rental providers at various levels. We have already completed several projects here, and we are not planning to stop.
